ABOUT THIS ARTIST |

Arthur D. SULIT (b.1968) is an organist and composer in northern California,
who plays and composes sacred and secular music. His works have been played
in church services and other venues throughout Northern America, Europe
and the Philippines. He has given piano concerts at the Philippine Embassy
in Washington D.C., for the State Department and various Senators. He has
won numerous competitions in Organ performance, and is reviving hs organ
works and other production projects.
Recent research reveals the name SULIT to be of Phoenician origin, whence
came the legends of the Phoenix, the Ryme of the Ancient Mariner,
celestial navigation, and our Alphabet. Phoenicia was located near
present-day Lebanon, just north of Judea. Historically, the Phoenicians
and Judaics, as friendly neighbors, were long-time allies...the Phoenicians supplied the
wood for the Temple of David, for instance.
Books on this research are listed in the "Recommended Readings" link on the left,
particularly those by Fr. Josemaria Luengo, PhD., who has gained exclusive
(formerly State top-secrets) data from the National Archives in Madrid, Spain.
Phoenicia once ruled all of the Mediterranean, with her powerful navies.
The Roman Biremes and Trieme ships, with sails and oars,
were copied from Phoenician designs. In the Book of Kings 1 and 2,
around 680 B.C., the Phoenician King Hiram had a trading partnership
with the Judaic King David, "to the Land of Ophir". The Phoenicians
supplied the ships, wood, and global navigation science. The Judaics,
arguably, supplied the money and business smarts for Trade.
Ophir is the land of the Orient, the Polynesian islands, including
the Philippines. Hence, Phoenicians, Jews and Greeks were able to bring
their culture and religion to the far East well before Alexander's time.
"Sulit" has a similar meaning in Lebanon, as the family spread in ancient
sea-faring voyages to Indonesia (Moluccas) and Philippines. In all those
regions, the name is also a word, which has to do with "Teacher" "Of Knowledge and Importance".
Arthur D. SULIT (b. 1968) is the grand-nephew of a famous composer, Lucrecia R. "King" Kasilag.
Dr. Kasilag has brought her East/West Orchestra and Bayanihan Dance Troupe all
of the world each year, from the 1950s through the 1990s, has appeared on the
Ed Sullivan Show, and is a Philippine National Artist. She attended the Julliard
and Eastman Conservatories in the 1930's, then became Dean of Music at
Philippine Women's University. With Imelda Marcos in the 1960's, Dr. Kasilag
built the Philippine Cultural Center in Manila, a national symbol of the arts,
similar in role to the Kennedy Center in the USA.
In Arthur's own youth, even before knowing the existence of his Grand-Aunt,
he was winning 1st place in numerous Illinois State Organ competitions.
He was in rock bands, studied film production, animation, special effects and film scoring,
while doing work as a Computer Consultant. Mr. Sulit has worked as a Warfare
Analyst for the U.S. Navy and Pentagon, in Arlington Virginia and
Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. In the late 1990's, he left
that job after releasing his recordings on mp3.com, which dominated the music
charts, and resulted in substantial royalties at the time.
With the rise of online music piracy, and subsequent demise of mp3.com,
Mr. Sulit returned to computer consulting, for a number
of years, kept away from the Organ, and symphonic composition. Only recently,
is he returning to his roots, now showing emerging works reflecting his influences
of Bach, Tchaikovsky, Korngold, Holst and others.

Founder Art Sulit's Chart Rankings (Archived Histories from sites that are now out-of-print or changed ownership)
The mp3 files on these chart reprints are no longer functional, because the original sites from which
these reprints were drawn have since shut down, changed ownership, and are no longer functional.
Most are very much out of print, and these serve merely as historical record.
These are provided as a partial resume of chart rankings of the Founder,
of web pages that are (to the best of Founder's knowledge) no longer owned by the labelled parties due to multiple-chagneovers since then,
which are linked or re-printed here under Fair Use guidelines. Specifically, Listen.com and MP3.com
have changed hands numerous times since 2000-2001, and it is highly probable that the new owners of
those said sites have not included these original charts reproduced partially here as part of their purchase
of assets.
If either of these present companies have a problem with that, please write the Founder.
In addition, these charts serve as public evidence of an ongoing legal issue under discussion,
whereby the p4p income once earned by the Founder and his talented colleagues, formerly
on the top of the online charts of 1999-2001, had lost their (then) livelihoods
due to the destructive effects of having to compete against illegal music piracy
and file-sharing sites. The Founder hopes that he and his fellow artists will
one day see a vast reduction in music and film piracy activity, and also be
recompensed for their losses, perhaps as part of a class action to be announced.
