Museeks is founded by Arthur Sulit, an
online information systems consultant and an accomplshed artist. His grand-aunt
is a world-famous National Artist of the Philippines, Lucrecia "King" Kasilag
(appearances in Ed Sullivan Show and yearly ambassadorial world tours, with
Van Cliburn, Ravi Shankar, & others). His grand uncle, Gen.
Macario Peralta played a key role in the Pacific as the second-in-command
to MacArthur in the Philippines after the surrender of Gen. Wainwrigt in the
Philippines. Art was a former Navy Civil Service Warfare Analyst, attending
Top Gun, working in the Pentagon and Naval Air Test Center with Test Pilots,
and also jamming in rock bands with them.
In his spare time, Art tries his hand
at composing symphonies, musicals, pipe organ & piano works, and records
in all genres. Most all of them have ranked at or near #1 on mp3.com for months
at a time. As one of the early artists dominating the charts for well over a
year, he helped define the peak growth period of mp3.com and other sites.
In the first week of Jan 2001, his hyper-realistic electronic rendition of Strauss
'Also Spracht Zarathustra' (And So Spoke Zoroaster, the 2001: A Space Odyssey
Theme) was #3 on the Overall Top40 list, between Madonna at #2 and #4. Other
classics charting a long-time at #1 are his pipe organ 'Dracula Theme' (Bach's
Toccata and Fugue in Dm) and 'Little Kitty Swing', a Glen Miller-ish 1940's
tune which really swings. Hear some of his early
works.
